Indications for a CT scan of the paranasal sinuses without contrast enhancement:

• diagnostics of inflammatory diseases in case of inefficiency of the prescribed medication;
• detection of foreign bodies and their location;
• assessment of anatomical features; 
• detection of oncological diseases and assessment of the spread of the lesion; 
• preoperative planning;
• monitoring after surgical treatment; 
• in the case of facial injuries – detection of fracture lines, displacement of bone fragments, and detection of hematomas.
